Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories that produce enough sound so that the sound is heard overtop the sounds produced from the forklift itself.
The sound produced by the audio device must be distinguishable from other audible devices or sounds from the work setting. The sound must also be different from the other noise or audible devices in the work place. The audible device could end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care must be taken.
Hearing protection makes it really harder to hear the audible device and to distinguish what direction and distance it is coming from. Audible devices can occasionally get disabled from employees and operators since they can find them really irritating. Furthermore, audible devices can also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They utilize tempered glass in order to prevent injuries. Moreover, these cabs feature an emergency exit through window removal. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each and every specific use, the operator could choose the performance need. Furthermore, it allows a supervisor to set the maximum performance of a unit for an operator who is just starting to learn. Being able to lessen and adjust the maximum performance of the unit enables a new operator to learn the operating features of the machinery in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor disables the unit and when this occurs, it requires a supervisor to re-enable and override the model. This encourages the operator to be certain to manage the equipment in a more controlled way.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These specific mirrors help to assist the operator in observing the operating space behind the vehicle, and their tail swing area.
