Rough terrain forklifts have been manufactured by CareLift Equipment, since the year 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help all their customers reach their objectives as they know the bottom line is performance and dependability.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These units are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Normally, these units are powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal alternative for tasks which need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery could rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be raised vertically to below horizontal. Because the operator could steer and maneuver the vehicle while the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machinery. These models are available in diesel, propane or gas configurations as well as 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise not accessible. These lift units perform tasks which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily in the work site.
To be able to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is required prior to using boom lifts so as to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs which used to need many more man hours to be completed in a much shorter time period. These machines have really increased production and have changed the material handling business.
