Established in the year 1920, FM GRU Tower Cranes began as a family company in the Northern Italy's biggest industrial place. Throughout the 1950s, when the farming economy was evolving into a manufacturing and industrial economy, the company was working in the metal structural sector and welded construction industries. FMgru was involved in constructing bridges for roads, pylons to convey electricity, different types of forklifts, presses, farming machinery and prefabrication molds.
During 1963, the company started crane production. The company eventually invested all of their human resources and financial resources in this activity. The target of this streamlining was to reach the highest specialization level in the field of lifting.
