Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic lift trucks provide height and versatility. These units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Standard forklifts could not move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in both agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is required.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are recommended in cases needing high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is utilized for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform which is meant to lift workers is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a chain or strap is utilized to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
